So moved by the experience of meeting him (see video) this past August 2019, I felt compelled to take another opportunity to dedicate a blog-post to Mr. Cody Barlow, from Oklahoma. He is the man that visited us here in Eureka Springs, Arkansas over Summer Diversity Weekend, August 2-4, 2019.
This brief video, featuring Maya Angelou, spoke to me. It was a correlation that made me take to this keyboard and pen this blog to Cody.
Cody, I dedicate this post to you. Like Maya, you "get it."
Cody is the rainbow in the clouds of so many others. He has risen above the fray in our society and found a way to allow himself to simply look at someone through a very unique lens, a clean lens. He treats others with love and respect, regardless of who they are, where they come from, what they look like, what they eat, how they speak, what they believe, who they love.
