Creekside Cafe and Coffee Shop, positioned downtown next to the Grand Central Hotel, is a new go to spot for casual dining, coffee, snacks and kitsch.

Creekside Cafe and Coffee serves up daily soups, smoothies, sandwiches, salads and appetizers. They offer a variety of homemade cookies, pastries, and chocolate dipped treats like chocolate dipped cheesecake or a chocolate dipped banana.

There is also kettle corn, desserts and specialty items as well - essentially something for every palette.

Jessica, Greg, Bobby, & Que know how to make memories and fill tummies. The locals just love this gang and often stop in for smiles and delights; the visitors to Eureka Springs are sure to find it, given the central location right downtown. Stop in! You will not be disappointed.

Chili, as everyone knows is an autumn favorite. It’s loaded with healthy ingredients and big bold flavors. Comforting, cozy, and deliciously savory. The bowl of homemade meat chili offered here was perfectly spicy, hearty and filling. On a crisp Autumn day, this lunch will absolutely hit the spot. Go get you some.

Hmmmmmmm ... chili always makes me pensive and while I was there, enjoying my bowl of chili, I thought to myself - WOW! This place is spectacular.

The idea of entrepreneurship is beautiful. You wake up each day believing you’re in control of your life and can spend that day doing whatever you want. You are creating something that lets you live life on your terms. While this idea is great, the everyday reality doesn’t always equal that dream. These local entrepreneurs Bobby and Greg are two of the hardest working Eurekans in town and they are adored for their many personal traits but, in this particular blog-post I would like to take this opportunity to call out one trait that they both very strongly possess - and it shows!

GRIT

Though the word seems to be used often enough in society, particularly in relation to the 1969 Western classic "True Grit" starring John Wayne and Kim Darby, there are different definitions for grit but the one that seems to be used most often is "perseverance and passion for long-term goals."

According to psychologist Angela Lee Duckworth, author of the popular book, Grit: the Power of Passion and Perseverance and a MacArthur "genius" award winner, grit is a often-ignored psychological trait that can help explain why some individuals succeed when others with equal or greater ability do not. She also defines grit as "not just resilience in the face of failure, but also having deep commitments that you remain loyal to over many years."

Both perseverance and consistency are vital elements of the drive to succeed - and Bobby and Greg got it goin' on.

Depending on what stats you believe, there are entrepreneurs quitting their businesses as fast others are just starting out - Bobby and Greg are the kind of entrepreneurial couple that have found a balance and a way to work collaboratively with each other, along with members of the Eureka Springs Community to make things happen. While most entrepreneurs bask too long in the dreamer phase, these guys live life in the doer phase pouring their hearts and hard work not only into Creekside, but also with their other businesses - Freedom Kettle Corn and Bean Me Up Coffee - all here in Eureka Springs!

Now, as one would imagine, Creekside Cafe and Coffee Shop didn't happen overnight and it didn't happen without their collaboration, grit, determination, hard work and muscle.

Bobby and Greg were in there cleaning, creating, moving, building, painting and more; and at all hours of the day and night doing what was necessary to build their dream.

Creekside was built with love, from love, to offer love to all.

My Husband Jeff and I stopped in for lunch with these guys and it was absolutely wonderful.

Cozy, kitschy, warm, welcoming - you can absolutely feel the love in this place. This is a true Eureka-business (as Eureka well-known for being radically inclusive and loving to all people from all walks of life every day of the year.)

We even ran into our neighbor, Sophia and her Mom and sister, and they were out together enjoying the day and decided to stop in for tea and coffee choosing the shop's cozy reading nook.

At Creekside, this shop offers more than delicious bites and bevvies. The shop also offers art for sale, things for your house or yard, CDs and other music offerings, knick-knacks, as well as hats, masks, messenger bags, purses and other local homemade items.

Becoming the best version of yourself in every part of your life is thought to be the only key to success. In other words, you become successful when you wake up every day focused on what will help you grow.

Yes! Take the time to dream, as that phase is important, but also be sure to put your head down and do the hard work, the stuff nobody really likes to do. Get down in it with grit and be doers like Bobby and Greg.

❤️Spread the love Bobby and Greg, We congratulate you on this new adventure with your beloved Creekside Cafe and Coffee Shop.❤️
