Weddings are all about making choices between different venues, different photographers, different planners, different florists—the list goes on. Here in beautiful Eureka Springs, Arkansas, we make planning all of it as quick and easy as baking up a sweet potato pie.
The City of Eureka Springs, Arkansas has welcomed brides, grooms, maids of honor and groomsmen for decades. It goes without saying that we get our fair share of proposal events as well as bachelor and bachelorette parties but it is The Big Day that make lovebirds flock here.
Although our little mountain town is known today for our incredible architecture, music, arts/events, history, antiques & shopping, as well as the great outdoors, one of the mind-blowing facts about Eureka Springs is that annually Eureka Springs is the chosen location for more than 4,000 weddings per year (that’s just about two times the population of Eureka Springs!) Note: The 2020 Census was 2166.
Eureka Springs is perfectly perched in these beautiful, rolling Ozark hills surrounded by the grand, green curves of Mother Nature and we truly believe that this place is sacred ground. Yep, you're marrying the one you love on sacred ground. How cool is that?
One visit is all it will take for you to feel that hard-to-explain, magical tug on your soul - connecting you to this corner of the world. What a perfect setting to begin one of life's greatest journeys!

Thorncrown Chapel is Eureka Springs’ premier wedding ceremony location.
Since 1980 people have come from all over the world to get married at this beautiful glass cathedral in the woods. Surrounded by beautiful rock formations and a canopy of trees, the chapel provides an unforgettable setting for any wedding ceremony. Because Thorncrown has over 6,000 square feet of glass and 425 windows, the wedding can be outdoors and indoors at the same time.
The acoustics inside are stunning, so music during your ceremony will enhance the experience for sure. I had the pleasure of singing at Thorncrown Chapels 2020 Virtual Advent Service "A Light On A Hill." You can see that service on this blog-post here.
The experienced staff at Thorncrown Chapel has been coordinating wedding services for over forty years. They provide both a minister and a chapel host to make sure the ceremony is as care free as possible. Of course, you are welcome to bring your own minister if you so desire.
The cathedral seats up to 100 guests and facilities also include a changing area with a full length mirror, a first class sound system, and a piano. (the next image gallery features our architectural marvel, Thorncrown Chapel.)
Two of the biggest hotels in town, The 1886 Crescent Hotel and the 1905 Basin Park Hotel have created an exceptional online resource website to assist with wedding planning at every turn. This site is: https://www.eurekaspringsarkansasweddings.com/
(the next image gallery features images from this resource site of actual weddings in Eureka Springs. I hope these inspire creativity for your Big Day.)
This is just a sampling. Weddings in Eureka Springs run from the traditional romantic event set in one of the historic hotels, to more intimate nuptials in the parlors or gardens of a Victorian B&B or inn, or to the very distinctive and extremely personal weddings in caves, on horseback, at the wildlife refuge, or at one of the springs.
In Eureka Springs, you can get married anywhere and anytime you choose.
Choose wisely.
Your wedding is your wedding and like we said at the start of this blog-post, it's all about choices.
