Uri & Viola Bring Our Community Together

February 14-20, 2021 is National Random Acts of Kindness Week. It was also the week that temps fell and snow accumulations rose as much of the nation grappled with Winter Storms Uri & Viola.

Just when you think you are already too madly in love with a place like this, something happens that triggers a chain reaction around the community and BAM, you fall deeper in love with Eureka Springs.

Here's what I mean . . .

Many of us are often encouraged to do good deeds. Here in Eureka Springs, this is truly woven into the fabric of our community. We spread kindness and do good things for our neighbors and friends. These kinds of acts can be truly powerful.

When Covid-19 hit in March 2020 and things started shutting down, the community rallied together to help each other with the creation of masks, cooking and sharing food, offering shelter and unemployment claim/paycheck protection assistance - we all pulled together and did whatever it took to help each other move forward.

Here we are, nearly one year later. Forward.

Well, this past week - during National Random Acts of Kindness Week - ironically, winter storms Uri & Viola came crashing down. Even as I write this, today, February 20, 2021, there is about 9" of powdery snow frozen on top of a sheet of thick ice all across the streets and hollers here in Eureka Springs, AR. Meanwhile, in true Eureka fashion, Eurekans went out of their way to help others.

So many Eurekans have the desire and intention to do good and this is what makes a true community like this come to life. To spread kindness is powerful. Please check out these kind acts that happened all week long here in our own backyards while Uri and Viola came to visit: (these posts were seen on the FaceBook Page - Eureka Springs Community Support.)

In a nutshell, helping others by doing good deeds makes the world a better place. In our small community, we all certainly feel it. However, in addition to promoting a happy life for the person you set out to help, your actions and kindness also have a transformative effect on your own life because good deeds signal to the Universe that you're ready to receive goodness in your own life.

The Law of Attraction teaches us that we receive similar signals to that which we send out and so if you set out to offer good deeds you'll quickly begin to see your own life transform.

Boost your own well-being by doing good deeds and lending a helping hand.

Eureka is Eureka because WE ALL make it so. ❤️
